In The Fire, Are You Being Purified or Consumed?

The flaming sword that turned every way to guard the tree of life, sets up this stage for the place of fire in our lives. It is protective and forbids, fire protects and is destructive. Fire purifies and transforms like refining gold in a furnace. The burning bush (Exodus 3) is ablaze but not consumed. It captured the attention of Moses drawn into an encounter that forever altered his life. It made the ordinary become extraordinary. Moses was set ablaze just as the burning bush.

Fire represents a powerful symbol of destruction and renewal. This suggests that life’s difficult challenges enhance our spiritual maturity and character. Beginning a journey toward freedom from bondage. Fire is a sign that God will be with us and guide us on our journey. Let’s do a reflection, are we allowing the divine fire to purify and refine us, or are we being consumed.

No matter where we find ourselves, fire is either protective or forbidding, purifying or consuming. Let’s glean deep inside this flame that reveals much about ourselves. Fire has been around since the very beginning of history. Fire can give us heat for protection, then on the other hand rage out of control and destroy everything in its path. We all have experienced fire, both good and bad.

Even with knowing what fire can do, it still brings surprises. These words have come to put a little fuel to the fire of the mind. if you look close enough you can see that the flame of a candle forms itself into the shape of a tear. The consuming fire blazes uncontrollably across many acres. When the fire reaches these colossal sizes, they start to affect the atmosphere around them.

The massive heat moves upward in tremendous qualities. The atmosphere becomes unstable accelerating upward just like a thunderstorm. Whipping up powerful winds that fan the flames even further. With the continuous spinning it turns into a tornado. Fire safety is now the platform that needs to be activated. Just as Painter Steven Spazuk using a flame to apply soot to a canvas tells, “The flame always reacts to the air displacement, so I can’t control it. However, I can guide my lighter and the flame to create more or less the shape I want to create. Sometimes, I just let the flame do the work and create the magical images.

Like fire, we are capable of great power, warmth and energy but also capable of destruction. Untamable and unpredictable every flicker of a flame holds a different story.” No matter if the flame is massive or small, we hold the lighter to close the top down. Remember there is another in the fire with us.

My name is Daphne Mills, writing was something I did all the time. Not realizing that it was going to turn into this moment. As a person who loves God, I decided to step out on faith. I am glad I did, because that step brought me to Milo first one of a series. And this platform Grieving: Together We Rise. Come join me on this journey seeing where it's going to lead. I learned with a new outlook everything will become beautiful in its own timing. With a little change in the way we see things it can bring about wonderful things.
