Small things are the little details that pops up in your life. Sometimes the small things go unnoticed. Small things actually can make a great impact on your life. A person offering a elderly their seat, buying someone something they could not afford. Small acts are powerful, the benefits outweigh the small deed. While you cannot control how much time you have, you can control how you use this time. It is not always easy to notice the good when things are not going your way.
Let’s shift this focus on what did go right. Fixating on what you don’t have causes you to miss out on what you do have. Let’s take a moment and pause. Take this opportunity to notice the small things in your life that is right. Learn to appreciate the small victories. Appreciate the breath you breath, being able to use your limbs, being able to even smile, these are the small things. These small things are taking for granted, because you are looking at things that are going wrong, instead of what you have right at this moment working for you. You place your eyes on the big things, but what matters is the small things that are out of your control.
Just because someone can put a large amount of money in the collection plate don’t mean that it made the biggest difference then the one that put in change. In this day and age lives are moving in the fast lane. Rushing from place to place fitting all kinds of activities into a 24-hour day. Not remembering the small thing, that there is a tomorrow. Let life teach you as you go, it is not the big moments that count, it is the small things that is beyond your control. See the value in the everyday small things.
When things are not going as you would like them to be, you get out of sort. In your mind you must be in control of all things, yet you let the small things go unnoticed. There are something’s that you can’t prepare for like the wide world pandemic. We want to be in control, but that day no one was. It is in our nature to want to know, so, when things are beyond our grasp, why we don’t make the effort to control the worry in our minds?
What is upsetting is the fact that we feel we have lost our power. Being out of control means that something or someone else is in control. When it seems that things are no longer in our hands, it becomes a fight for survival. Taking action to gain stability of not feeling powerless so, we fight to control it. We need to release our hold of controlling, stand our ground, stop resisting the flow where life has us. If something has happened and our life is spinning out of control, we need to surrender. Start over because change need to occur.
Look for the small thing in whatever that has appeared. It first starts with the way we think. Externally we can’t do anything about it, but internally is where the control lies. You can control the emotions that rises up. When that fellow powerless comes around knocking, we can look upon the small things that goes unnoticed. Face the consequence and regroup. Decide if you want to love or fear. The small things may be beyond your control, but you do have the authority over how you respond. It is in how you see the situation that give it its meaning, stop fighting with yourself, because life flows like a river.
Stop resisting it is ok, not to be in control. Like a boat if you turn the motor off, it still will float letting the river take it where it may. You may find yourself in a mist of things that are beyond your control. When this occur do not try to control it, because now you are working on somebody else business. In this matter it will not go well, because the small things are beyond your control.
