What Must We Do IN The Times of Weariness?

Flags and banners are a declaration a rallying point. They symbolize unity and purpose for that nation. People display their flag and want others to treat it with respect. The standard and banners are a declaration of their identity. The flags are very important in battle. If the battle was won or reclaiming old territory, they planted the banner in the ground marking the place of victory. What must we do when the times of weariness comes lurking? When the battle comes, you must have the confidence that you can win the fight. You must lift your hands and say, “I am victorious and powerful enough to defeat any enemy.” You have to see yourself as a victor not a victim. The enemy wants to steal and destroy the ability to win. In the battle the enemy wants to snatch and steal the ability that has been given. You have a sword to defend yourselves to overcome the enemy. you must use the sword to overcome the temptations that comes to try and defeat you in every situation.

Lift up the staff that is in your hand, which is your authority. Raise up your standard against the enemy, as he come and attack. Remember when he comes raging, know that the battle is already won, the enemy is defeated! In your times of tiredness and weariness, someone will come by your side and hold up your arms in your struggles; there is power in unity. There is help in all of our destresses, we are protected, we will be sent help. Your perspective will change, when you lift up your arms knowing that there is an assurance of deliverance. Then you can shout for joy over your victory and lift up your banners. You don’t have to fight your battles alone, you have a deliverer.

As long as your arms are held up high, you win, you lose when you drop your arms. the enemy can come in and overpower you. We have a banner in times of weariness to help us triumph over the enemy. All we have to do is rally to him, he will protect us if we let him. In the battles you fight every day, lift the banner to a height where you can see them as a reminder that you have security, hope and freedom. You are able to conquer any foe. We bring conflict to ourselves when we have a lack concerning our basic needs. We grumble and complain because of the fear that surrounds us. We rather be as we always have been in comfort than in this weary state. The complaint is unjustified, because when there was no weariness there were a lot of provision being served to us. So, why do we not remember in the times of weariness.

We are given a portion of bread every day that we can gather to meet our need. Out of fear we gather more than we need out of fear of not having. We don’t collect the day’s portion; we collect more and hoard it. If we do as we suppose to then there comes a day when we can get a double portion to accommodate use in our time of rest. We are being provided for every day, “Give us this day our daily bread” (Matthew 6:11). In fulfillment, we won’t what is normal. Those who gather too little still will have enough, and those who collect to much out of greed their portion will reduce. Our plans will be ruin because what we take more than we supposed to have it becomes foul it will stink.

Friends can you see the grace and mercy that is in your life, especially when you go through the wilderness? Do not go back to the pit. If you have been lifted out of the mud, and have been placed on a firm foundation, don’t go back to the pit because you are weary. Whatever you are hyped about, whatever you are stressed about, whatever you are worried about. Just take a deep breath, see the cause of your pain and grievances, then take the necessary actions. Don’t allow your circumstances to pollute you all week. Gather what is willingly laid before you in the day of provision. The Lord still provides more than enough. Allow yourself a day of rest from work and enjoy the day and refresh yourself. Take a look in your jar and fill it with the things that were done for you. Taste the sweet wafers made with honey!

My name is Daphne Mills, writing was something I did all the time. Not realizing that it was going to turn into this moment. As a person who loves God, I decided to step out on faith. I am glad I did, because that step brought me to Milo first one of a series. And this platform Grieving: Together We Rise. Come join me on this journey seeing where it's going to lead. I learned with a new outlook everything will become beautiful in its own timing. With a little change in the way we see things it can bring about wonderful things.
