Miraculous Turnaround on the Road to Damascus

Saul was a hated man, who became a man that people loved even until this day. One day his life became a miraculous turnaround on the road to Damascus. Saul of Tarsus was a Pharisee, after the death of Jesus, swore as long as he had breath in him, he would wipe out all those who believed in Christ. He threated the disciples and anyone who followed them. With the authorization from the high priest, gave him the right to arrest any followers of Jesus. When he heard that some of the disciples were in Damascus. Saul and his entourage, started towards the city. As they were going, Saul was struck down by a blinding light. His entourage had to led him into Damascus on the street called straight, because of his blinded eyes. Saul was running on the street called destruction, now is about to run on the street called straight.

Ananas one of the disciples was called to go to Saul. Ananas was afraid because of the reputation of the man, a persecutor of the church. A calling also was on Sauls life, he was to become a instrument to deliver the gospel to the Gentiles, the kings, and the people of Israel. Eventually, Ananas went to Saul, telling him he was sent to restore his sight. When Ananas touched his eyes, the scales fell from his eyes, and he could see again. He stood up and went to get baptized into the faith. Afterwards his name was changed to Paul. Saul of Tarsus upbringing was with the connection of the gospels. Putting what he learned as a youth, with his changing experience on the road of Damascus. Led him to be baptized and to walk in the Christian faith. Just as determined as he was persecuting the church, he was more determined to deliver the gospels to the people.

When we are brought into faith, God knows how he will use us in service to His kingdom. Paul’s turnaround shows that Jesus wanted the message of the gospel to go to the Gentiles. After the scales fell off of Saul’s eyes, he now could see the truth. Once he knew the truth, there was no turning back. He understood that Jesus was the true Messiah, and that he had helped murder and imprison innocent people. Despite his previous beliefs, he now knows the truth, and it is his responsibility to do his will. This shows that anyone can be transformed, even the hardest of hearts. A person’s past doesn’t matter to Christ. He is more interested in a person’s future. Saul was once a cruel enemy to Jesus, but he ended up one of his closest friends. God’s forgiveness is full and final. No matter what street you now find yourself on. How about taking a trip down to Damascus to get your miraculous turnaround on the street called straight.

My name is Daphne Mills, writing was something I did all the time. Not realizing that it was going to turn into this moment. As a person who loves God, I decided to step out on faith. I am glad I did, because that step brought me to Milo first one of a series. And this platform Grieving: Together We Rise. Come join me on this journey seeing where it's going to lead. I learned with a new outlook everything will become beautiful in its own timing. With a little change in the way we see things it can bring about wonderful things.
