WHAT Obstacle Is Deterring You from Taking a New Step of Faith?

As of this day what obstacles is deterring you from taking a new step of faith? As we go fourth God goes before us and removes the obstacles from our path. Let’s look at the most festive of occasions: a wedding day. The day had finally arrived. As the bride walked through the door, emotions swelled. The exchanges of the vows began, and they sealed the union with a kiss. Let the reception begin! Everyone was having a good time-when it was notice that one important detail was overlooked. This detail was very important if not fixed it would bring with it humiliation. Some of the guest overheard about this problem. One of the guests realized she had the solution to the problem. Her child had the ability to remedy the situation and get the reception back on track.

She went to her son and pulled Him a side. She whispered in his ear about the important detail. He was reluctant to act, without hesitation, she called the servers. “Just do what he tells you to do.” Mary the mother of Jesus gave the instructions to the servers. Then Jesus gave some instructions to the servers. He told them to fill up the waterpots with water, then dip some out and take it to the master of the feast so he could taste it. When the master of the feast put the cup to his lips, the water had been turned into wine. Jesus met the guest’s need. He saved the bridal party from embarrassment. The celebration was a huge success. The master of the reception commended the groom for serving the best to the guest.

We could be one step away from the promise land. The time could be right, but our faith will be once again tested. Our response to the vision and commands of God would be pivotal to our success. It has been said, “Some lessons are only learned the hard way.” Ignoring good advice can bring on frustration and grief. Ignoring good advice brings about wasted time and opportunities. It also has been said, “You can pay now or pay later, or you can play now or pay later. But if you pay later, the price is always greater.” We tend to want to take the route we think is a safe one; the one of resistance. They price of this route is the buried remains of past opportunities. Graves reminding us of missed opportunities. But today a new direction is being presented, we must strive on in faith as we enter into the territory, we have never experienced before.

When faith is activated, we gain the attention of God, then the mind gets set on taking the territory and possessing the promises of God. When faith is stepped out on, we can see the promise beyond the obstacles. We begin to see that it is already ours. we start speaking as though it was already ours. We start believing for the promises that seem too impossible. God is looking for a faith-filled generation to ready themselves. We must not continue to walk around unprepared to receive the promises. Like Israel on the brink of the Jordan river, God is still seeking people who will quit wandering and begin to follow His leading. Do what a previous generation unwilling would not do, take God at His word. Let your wanderings be over, and let faith move you toward the presence and promises of God.

Let’s led by example, step out into the waters, yes, I know it goes against everything you know to be safe. You see the waters flooding the banks of the river. It will have to be a miracle, to not be swept away or pulled under the mighty raging waters. But go ahead and take the steps obey the commands of God and respond in faith. many years ago, a staff had been stretched out over the face of the Red Sea. The waters parted, and the people passed over on dry ground. This day is different, Moses is dead. Today it is going to have to take more than one man raising up a staff; it demands many men of God stepping into the river and trusting God to part it. Before the chilly water could touch our feet of the swift overflowing river. God will swiftly retreat the waters. He will remove the barrier to the promise land in a moment of obedient faith.

God will show he will be with you. As He was with Moses at the Red Sea and Joshua at the Jordan River. God did the work when His leaders and His people moved in faith. God’s leaders stood in the middle of the sea and the river of firm ground. What others would have seen as unsafe and unwise; the people of God viewed as the safest place to be. The call of God is usually seemingly impossible. If it was easy or possible for us on our own, our faith and the Spirit of God would be unnecessary. Follow regardless of the obstacles. God’s direction and methods my lead us into deep waters, but our trust and obedience will result in Him opening the door for us to cross into places we have never been before. The safest place to be is in the will of God.

God has a place for all of us to go. He has a destination He wants us to experience. Like Israel, we have been wandering far too long in the familiar territory, it is high time we launch out into the deep waters of something new. The challenges will always be plenty, many insurmountable obstacles. We may even question our abilities, but we must answer this one question; when we hear the calling will we take down the tent of comfort and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit? Rember the safest place to be is in the will of God. The door is open for us to cross into the places we have never been before. Taking the new step of faith regardless of the obstacles facing us.

My name is Daphne Mills, writing was something I did all the time. Not realizing that it was going to turn into this moment. As a person who loves God, I decided to step out on faith. I am glad I did, because that step brought me to Milo first one of a series. And this platform Grieving: Together We Rise. Come join me on this journey seeing where it's going to lead. I learned with a new outlook everything will become beautiful in its own timing. With a little change in the way we see things it can bring about wonderful things.
