Learn To Believe God’s Promises And Ultimately Conquer The Promise Land

Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it” (Numbers 13:30). God desires to reveal His promises to us. Even through the scandals that have been in the media, I will continue to seize the promises in faith. With that being said, let’s continue. The Israelites learned to believe God’s promises and ultimately conquered the promised land. God wants to show His people the blessings; He desires to reveal His promises. There are some people who have disbelief. They have different perspectives of the same situation? We must see through God’s eyes, we must pursue and embrace the promises that has been offered to us.

Fear can grip the heart, as possibility is held captive by uncertainty. The way can clearly be seen, that they were going into a place rich in resources to live a better life than the life they had been living in Egypt. All they saw was danger of the people in the land. Caleb and Joshua reassured them that it was a fruitful land. All they needed to do was take the leap, go in and possess the land. The cool waters that they were thirsting for will be far better than the scorching heat in the wilderness. We must lean forward as the arms of God is reaching out for us. Let courage swell in our pounding hearts and trust God at His word. Take the leap!

Fear not, because it can cripple even the mighty. It limits the capability. It keeps us from living our best, leaving us stagnant not able to take the opportunities that is in front of use. Come on out of the prison that you made for yourself because of fear. You deserve to make it, it is possible. Overcome the fear and experience God’s greatest promises. Don’t tolerate the fear, eliminate it once and for all. Moses lead the Israelites out of Egypt’s captivity and crossed the Red Sea. Great steps of faith were needed to walk along a seabed with massive walls of water standing on each side. After seeing all God’s divine interventions, Israel was on the brink of the fulfilling of the promise land. But first they sent twelve men to spy on the land. God wanted to show the people the blessings that awaited them.

God was challenging them to trust Him. The energy level reached up to the heavens as they assembled the men. Tears of joy likely flowed down their cheeks as the men went to spy out the land. They desired to get the report and finally witness the promised blessings. The processes was hard and confusing at times. The children of promise experienced many struggles along the way-including the years of captivity. It was now time to receive the blessing. God’s timing and plans for them was perfect. Even in the trying times, God prepared them to receive the promises.

He wants us to experience the best of life. God prepares us to receive and learn to mange these blessings and benefits. This is why discipline and patience need to be developed to have gratitude for the promises. Lets get a understanding about the blessings and curses that the promises can bring. A car provides mobility, but it also presents the danger if it is driven recklessly. Relationship chosen wisely can bring aid when deciding on a life partner. Unwisely approach can bring the downfall. Life is full of opportunities and promises. The preparing is important as receiving them. God prepares us to receive His best.

This takes time and testing, He wants us ready and willing to be able to claim the promises when it is time to go into the land. Do not let fear paralyze the progress as it did the spies of Israel. They did not want to face what they saw as a challenge if they go in. They didn’t believe in themselves. They were in disbelief of not being able to take the land. That they had no options to have victory. When they saw the giants, they lost courage in the face of the adversary. The men were griped with fear to press forward. Even after they were told to be of good courage before they left. They witness everything God had promised, They even brought back the grapes, figs, and pomegranates. However, ten of them their hopes diminished. Fear and disbelief had captured them. They became blind by the challenges rather than being motivated by the promises.

Soon the negative report trickled down and poisoned the rest with the fear and disbelief. The once excited and motivated multitude be came contagious by the report. Now the promise was quickly taken over by fear and disbelief. Perspective is powerful, so see every problem with possibility. To them, the glass was empty. No matter how positive the situation, they found something wrong in it. In the midst of challenges, people can lose their perspective. People who get distracted by the challenges cannot see the magnitude of possibilities. Like these men, they failed to view the promise land through the eyes of God’s power to fulfill His promises.

Through the years some people have experienced some of God’s greatest blessings because they refused to be blinded by the magnitude of the obstacles. They said yes, to the giants, when others said no. They said yes, because they were convinced of the cause like Caleb and Joshua. Caleb and Joshua, didn’t just look at the army surrounding the city, they saw the provision that God wanted them to see. They saw through the eyes of faith. The battle cry, “If God be with us who can be against us?” We must take a look at the big picture. God keeps His promises, we just need to be of good courage and say yes. Do not get distracted by the obstacles. Rather be motivated by the promises. Often times we become victims of someone else’s offenses. Amongst other things and end up prolonging our situation. We forfeit the promise of reconciliation for unforgiveness.

Following God fully, declares that you are fully capable to take the land. Faith prompts and mobilize; doubt cripples. Fear paralyzes while faith marches on into the promised land. Obedience is always the action to take when we know that God is fully capable of fulfilling His promises. God responds to active faith to His word. When His children believe His word, humble themselves, trust, and be obedient, they will receive the promises; God cannot lie. The devil will flee from you if you resist him and submit to God. By staying the course with God’s plan you will arrive to the promise land. You got to have the want to! Whatever you face never forget the promise and possibilities you have in Christ. No matter what obstacles that are thrown at you strive to see through the eyes of God.

My name is Daphne Mills, writing was something I did all the time. Not realizing that it was going to turn into this moment. As a person who loves God, I decided to step out on faith. I am glad I did, because that step brought me to Milo first one of a series. And this platform Grieving: Together We Rise. Come join me on this journey seeing where it's going to lead. I learned with a new outlook everything will become beautiful in its own timing. With a little change in the way we see things it can bring about wonderful things.
