Be Careful with the Words You Speak

Proverbs 13:3-13 Be careful what you say and protect your life. A careless talker destroys himself. No matter how much a lazy person may want something, he will never get it. A hard worker will get everything he wants (GNT).

Words have power, depending on how we use them it can either burn bridges are build them. Freedom of speech does not give us the right to harm others with our mouth. When we open up our mouths, the character, conduct, and attitude are revealed. Words can break or make you. Words like “This situation is just impossible, or this person is impossible. “I’m a total failure, I am so stupid. If this is you, unconsciously you’ve been sabotaging yourself, simply by how you speak. Your mind and body will follow in the directions of your words. Want confidence, influence, more connections, or opportunities to come, then began to watch what is coming out of your mouth. Words have the power to fuel your confidence, or make you feel anxious or inadequate. Power to make you feel strong, or power to make you weak. Power to create opportunities for yourself, or to shut them down.

We need to stop using the words: never, scared to death, I’m always broke. the last buck stops here. These words will mirror themselves back to you. Start speaking positive words, and these will show up. If you continue to make declarations about yourself or circumstances that will echo hopelessness, bring in fear, and feed anxiety, this will be your reality. Start using words that are positive, precise, and focused. It takes practice to replace destructive words with positive ones, but once learned they put you in command, it will even shift your energy, it will also make others what to listen to you. Choose to speak in ways that bring out the best in you. Decide to use words that will strengthen you, instead of weakening you.

My name is Daphne Mills, writing was something I did all the time. Not realizing that it was going to turn into this moment. As a person who loves God, I decided to step out on faith. I am glad I did, because that step brought me to Milo first one of a series. And this platform Grieving: Together We Rise. Come join me on this journey seeing where it's going to lead. I learned with a new outlook everything will become beautiful in its own timing. With a little change in the way we see things it can bring about wonderful things.
