It Is Finished, And The Rest is Up To You!

“When he had received the vinegar, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit” (John 19:30). I hear you asking the question, “What is finished? His mission, His journey, and he passed the mantel on to his disciples. It is finishes was a cry of accomplishment. The cry of him being obedient to the commands of the father. This shout began in the will of the father: the cup, the baptism, the suffering, the cross. “It is finished” announces the full obedience of the one who, made no mistakes. The ability to say, “It is finished” to the father’s will now has ushered in a new era.

When you meditate on these words from the cross, what do you need to learn? First, you are to live a life of purpose. Second, by living life of purpose, you need to be a marksman that aims carefully at the target and make sure your shots count. This requires focus and discipline. Third, to say, “It is finished,” your lives must be marked by obedience. Finally, to say “It is finished,” you must be willing to suffer to achieve God’s purpose for your lives. You must continue, don’t give up just because things are difficult. You must be willing to suffer whatever is necessary to finish the father’s plan for your life. Jesus finished it, now it is up to you! When your life is over, you want to say, “It is finished!”

My name is Daphne Mills, writing was something I did all the time. Not realizing that it was going to turn into this moment. As a person who loves God, I decided to step out on faith. I am glad I did, because that step brought me to Milo first one of a series. And this platform Grieving: Together We Rise. Come join me on this journey seeing where it's going to lead. I learned with a new outlook everything will become beautiful in its own timing. With a little change in the way we see things it can bring about wonderful things.
