There are four natural seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn (Fall), and Winter. There are a lot of different weathers that are associated with these seasons. Storms, high winds, scorching heat, cold, and even rainy days, . When the seasons arrives, each period brings change. Every season has its own natural workings that brings the changes. In the spring we can see the rebirth, the growth of the leaves on the trees. Seeds that were planted have developed their roots, and the plants have started to grow. Summer is the time which is the hottest. Autumn (Fall) is the time the leaves fall, and the animals prepare to bear down for the coming winter. Winter Is the coldest time. All this occurs in the natural. In the spiritual, it is said, In Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, “To everything there is a season.
There are four cycles in scriptures carrying the message of renewal and transformation. Within the scriptures are the wisdom of the changing seasons and how we can discover how to bring growth and change to our spiritual growth as well. The seasons include day and night, seedtime and harvest, winter and spring, and the Sabbath. They bring lessons to strengthen our faith. The changing seasons of transformation and renewal, and opportunity to grow, we have to remember to let go and embrace the changes. We must move through the seasons with purpose and intention. Plus learn the lessons they come to teach.
Just as seeds need time to grow, we also need time and experiences to deepen our faith, our understanding, and get wisdom. The winter season with its coldness and barrenness, is a period of going inward. Winter brings solitude where reflection can happen. This is the time to seek spiritual renewal; God’s timing is perfect. This season reminds us to trust in the timing of God and to embrace this season that has come into our lives. We must find the wisdom in the cycles to be able to navigate through the seasons of growth. As we emerge from our spiritual habitation and embrace the new opportunities, spring has arisen with possibility, potential and promise.
We must spring forth and embrace the new life that is being offered to us. Even though winter may be long and full of darkness and stagnation, there is always the potential for renewal and fresh beginnings. Let go and embrace the change that is calling after you. As autumn sheds it’s leaves, we must release what no longer serves us, we must make room for the new that is knocking. The seasons reminds us to have patience and trust the one who have the timing of our lives in his hands. Just as each season gives way to another, our seasons of struggles and darkness will be followed by the seasons of light and abundance.
Summer reminds us of abundance and fruitfulness, urging us to make the most out of the blessings that have been given. Do you know the season you are in? By recognizing the different seasons in our lives, we can navigate with purpose and intention. Both natural and in our spiritual journey, seasons has its purpose. The natural experience are planting, growing, harvesting and resting. The Spiritual goes through, growth, renewal, waiting, and harvest. Each one serves a purpose for spiritual development. The natural reflects God’s design for his creation. The spiritual carries its own lessons and blessings. We can find peace in knowing that God’s plans unfold in its perfect timing. May we embrace each season trusting that God will work all things together for our good.
